Author of the Summons of the Fall, a literary fiction novel exploring the topic of loss, the un-lived life, and reinvention.

But William's work goes beyond writing.

His purpose on earth is to serve people a healing dose of philosophy.

It's sharing a vision of the possibilities that exist, within the bounds of human limits, and to speak about the utility of the highest of human virtues, that of courage

So don't expect self-help or therapy. Consider this the synthesis, instead. Because congruence happens at the rolling nexus between self-reflection, and radical action.

Life is just too short and consequential to just do either or.

William Ramstein

Summons of the Fall Cover

It's a not-so-young-man, Jon, and a not-so-young-woman, Angela...

It's framed in a dual narrative where both Jon and Angela wrestle with the weight of their respective callings.

One's calling emerges from defeat, from without.

The other's emerges from within but is met with resistance.

And there's always a cost. Whether or not you listen to a calling, you have to pay.

The moral question is the same for everyone;

Do you really know who you are unless you've been tried against your illusions?
